SecureIt Pro does not start with Windows even when instructed

The information in this article applies to:


When SecureIt Pro is set to start when Windows starts (in the Settings screen), it only starts once and then never again after that unless the settings are invoked again. Also, SecureIt Pro may also never start at all when Windows starts.


SecureIt Pro starting only once is a confirmed issue. It will be fixed in the next release of SecureIt Pro after 4.58.

SecureIt Pro starting intermittently during Windows startup may be caused by different user profiles set up on the system. If the Registry Options setting in Advanced Settings is set to HKEY_CURRENT_USER (please consult the help file for more information), and user profiles are set up on the system, then SecureIt Pro will only start for the particular user who set SecureIt Pro to start. This is NOT a bug.


A workaround for the start once issue is to enable Cold Boot Detection. Please consult the help file for more information regarding this setting.


The start once issue will be corrected in the subsequent release of SecureIt Pro after version 4.58.

Intermittent starting can be corrected by either setting HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE in the Registry Options in Advanced Settings, or by manually going through every user profile and setting SecureIt Pro up in there. This is NOT a bug.


Quantrix has confirmed the start-once behavior to be an issue in the products listed at the beginning of this article. However, the intermittent starting is NOT a bug.
